The High Line

If you're a fan of Paula Scher's work, you probably know her identity work for The High Line created in 2001 for the city of New York. Last week I (and some fellow Topswatch editors) went to see a lecture by Paula Scher, in which she discussed some of her work, including this identity. No matter what you're reaction is to this identity — in my opinion, there is something timeless about it that cannot be ignored. This identity was made almost a decade and a half ago, and yet it feels fresh and current.  I think for most designers, timelessness in our work is something that we strive for — and something that we can all probably agree on. Even if we don't all agree on her recent PMA rebranding. (...I had to bring it up.)
